Mermaids? House Boats? Scuba Diving? Yes Please

Okay, so I have managed to support my Sims habit during this little blogger interlude and I’ve gotten more and more into the game with every expansion, as is expected. The last one was University Life and it’s kind of amazing. That was my favorite expansion in the Sims 2.

But now they’re coming out with this:

Say whaaaaaaat?

I’m so freaking excited. I love the Sims. Always have, always will. And this will definitely add to the game. I have to say that one of the parts about this trailer that makes me the MOST excited, is seeing the little baby play in the water. Tee hee!

Anyway, on that note, the hubs and I have done two Sims University Life video’s on his YouTube channel, if you want to check them out. He also does a ton of Minecraft, Starcraft, Bioshock Infinite, and some other game Let’s Play series’. I have to say I don’t fully understand them all, but people seem to like them. I like his “Hammer and Sickle” series, where he shows off one of his many personalities; Meliosh the Russian Adventurer.

Yeah. I’ve lived with him for YEARS.

Anyway, moral of the story, I’m excited.

Woot!

Seeing Pink

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! I hope you all have wonderful days planned with your  loved ones. The hubby and I are putting the festivities on hold, until after this baby comes. I’m not much of a date, what with the waddling, the huge belly that barely fits in restaurant booths, and the need of a donut pillow wherever I go. How’s that for a visual? TMI? Oh well. Anyway, I can still feel festive today, right? I did my little girls hair in the shape of hearts (see pinterest picture here ) and I’ve been thinking pink all morning. So today I’m dedicating my post to all things pink!

First, a book: When I was in elementary school I read this book that captured my imagination so fully that I still remember the title to this day. In fact, I found it on Amazon and will be ordering it for my little girl to read one day. It’s called The Mystery of the Pink Waterfall by R. Dwayne Moulton.

book

Here’s part of the abstract from Amazon:

Everyone has dreamed of having a special place all their own. A secret place that nobody else knows about. Little did Jennie Maria know that she would find hers as she obeyed her dying grandfather's last request to find the secret of the Pink Waterfall.

After negotiating a dangerous route full of narrow trails, tipping tree bridges and rock slides through dark caverns, Jennie Maria finds herself trapped in a wondrous hidden valley after a storm sends flood waters to seal the entrance. Her only communication with the outside world is her best friend Jason's messenger pigeon, Zippo, and her only companions are the animals of the valley who are surprisingly quite tame. Jennie Maria's grandfather has been preparing for her arrival and has built her an ingenious cabin with hot and cold running water, a luscious garden filled with fruits and vegetables, and a detailed book that tells her the history of the valley and its former occupants, the legendary Lapishami Indians.

Will Jennie Maria discover a way to get home or is she stranded in this Paradise until the waters recede with the next summer? Fun and intrigue for children of all ages, check out The Mystery of the Pink Waterfall and find out!

Right? Even reading this summary I’m brought back to reading about her learning to live in this magical valley with everything provided for her that she could possibly need. It was one of the first books that I truly lost myself in, and those kinds of books stick with you.

Next, in Design: Pink is making its presence known lately in interiors. Whether it’s a monochromatic scheme, or used as a pop of color to accent, pink is no longer just for little girl’s nurseries. I have to say, I’m loving the idea of using a fresh modern pink in one of our upcoming Noah’s projects… But in the meantime, here are some examples of beautiful pink interiors.

Who doesn’t love a pink couch?

Lastly, a Game: Okay I’m not going to lie, this was kind of hard. And this might be a stretch, but the only game I could think of is one I'm playing on Facebook and it’s not always “Pink” themed. I’m talking about The Sims Social. I know, way to branch out Kadie. But seriously, this game is addictive and right now they’ve got all these Valentine’s Day items and quests and it’s a lot of fun.

valentine

But I realized I’ve only talked about hard-core gamer-type games on here. I’m also a casual game enthusiast. I love time-management games, these weird energy-based games where you only get so many turns, and even the occasional hidden object game. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, a good place to find and play free games like these is www.wildtangent.com. They have TONS of casual games you can try out for free for as long as you want. Be warned, they are addictive. And of course, if you’re on facebook, come be my Sim neighbor!

There you go, a little Pink goes a long way. I hope you all have a fantastic Valentine’s Day!

A Month Full of Mondays

Does anyone else feel like that about January? It’s like a big long Monday after December’s month full of Saturdays. The Hubby’s back at work 5 days a week, the girl’s back to her normal babysitting schedule and I’m trying to catch up with life. But honestly, it’s kind of a relief. I’m a very schedule-oriented person, so while the holidays were amazing and fun and wonderful, I’m kind of looking forward to some Mondays. So what does this year hold for my Three Passions?

First of all, I have a lot of exciting design posts coming up! The big girl room is almost done! Just a few accessories and decorations to add, as well as some window panels to make (on my new sewing machine from Santa! It’s so complicated, I don’t know how to use it yet, but I will!), and then it’s done! And it’s looking so good. Also, I’ve been doing an Ikea Hack of my own for my new craft area, and I’m really stoked about how it’s turning out. I’m transforming a normal bookcase into a kid craft heaven. I hope.

Professionally, I got to take a quick jaunt to Texas this last week (as in, we flew in Tuesday morning and flew out Wednesday night) to see the progress of our latest Noah’s building and it is breathtaking! (Not just from the paint fumes, or the fact that I’m winded after walking any amount of time because I’m 31 weeks pregnant…) I took lots of pictures and am excited to show our progress. I was so glad to go, because we’re scheduled to finish mid to late February, and I will not be going anywhere but to the hospital at that point with my due date in early March.

As for writing, I’m pretty sure my head won’t be clear enough to edit or write anything until after baby comes. But I am keeping a journal of ideas. I still have my shiny idea that I was going to work on for NaNoWriMo, so I know that will be my next project. But this year, I’m really going to focus on editing book two and sending it out there. I really think it’s a story that needs to be told. So while this is pushed to the back for now, it’s definitely still on my mind.

And last of all, gaming… What to say? We cancelled our WoW accounts for now, because my husband’s in the last stretch of school so all his spare time is spent on that, and I’m unable to focus on virtual quests right now. But I have been getting back into the Sims, and I have a review for the Sims3 Pets in my head that I want to throw out here sometime soon. Basically, it’s way better than I thought it would be.

So that’s it! I’m excited for 2012! A lot is happening for our little family and with my little job and our little house. I’m so grateful for all I gained in 2011, especially this blog! I can’t believe I started it in May of last year. I was so scared, and while I haven’t quite found my footing, I am so inspired by all of the wonderful people I’ve met through this blog. Sometimes I feel like I’m letting everyone down by my inconsistency, but I hope not. I hope you’re still with me. And I’m really going to try to get back to my blog schedule this year.

Happy New Year and Happy Monday…today, tomorrow and all of January!

I Promise I'm Still Alive

Why does it seem like it's been FOREVER since I last posted? It's only been a week, but I feel guilty. Anyway, I just wanted to drop a line and let you all know I'm still here. And I wanted to say a great big HI to all the newcomers from Rachel's campaign! I'm sorry I've been slow, but I promise I will be stopping by all of your blogs soon as well. I'm so excited to have you all here!

Meanwhile, I think I'm going to put myself back on a schedule. I miss blogging about interior design, and for some reason if I don't make myself, all my posts end up being about writing, or ranting about life. So I think I'm going back to Write On Wednesday, then doing Interior Thursday, and then Rant and Rave Friday.

There I wrote it down, now I'm accountable. I've had a hard time with that lately. So look for the new schedule next week.

Wow what a boring housekeeping post.

To liven it up I will share one more Simming story, because it's hilarious. This time it happened to my brother. (That's right. I got him playing The Sims 3 from my last drama!) So in his own words, here is what happened:

I started a full family (husband, wife, one kid) called the Newhouses. I also made them eco-friendly, which is a huge pain because they get sad whenever only one person uses a car, blah blah blah. And all they did was go to work, go home, clean up, sleep. So, too much like real life.

So I started a pair of sisters, gave them a ton of money and let them play around. One (Kira) is an extrovert, the other (Danica) is a bookworm. They got along fine, so I had them buy half the town (well, just become partners in most of the businesses around town) and worked on getting Danica a friend. She makes a friend, invites her over, and while they're sitting on the couch playing video games her friend DIES. For no good reason that I could figure out. She had a "best friend died" negative mood and breaks down crying every 20 minutes, so I decided to check in on my other family while that blows over.

While they were playing on their own they got pregnant, so I bought them a crib and all the baby stuff and made their house bigger etc. Then their first daughter had a birthday, and on her birthday the mom has to go deliver the baby. So Dad Newhouse takes Mom Newhouse to the hospital right after the daughter blows out her candle on her cake. Then she goes to bed, but one of the party guests hangs out, plays guitar all night long, comes in the house at 3 AM and eats some pizza, stays all the next day, hangs out with the maid, and finally goes home after 48 hours. That was weird. Also, Mom and Dad Newhouse both instantly Wished for a new baby after they brought Baby Newhouse home. Dad Newhouse isn't the best parent (he set the baby on the floor more than once) so I nixed those wishes quickly. I got tired of them again and went back to the sisters.

When I came back to them Kira has a HUGE "cheater" reputation, and gets yelled at all over town. I don't know how she pulled that off. Danica is in a relationship...with DANICA. A clone of her, with her original haircut (I gave her a new one after her friend died) is dating the current Danica. They were out on a date when I switched to them. And at dinner, where Danica is dating Danica, a THIRD Danica shows up and says hi, then goes and eats dinner. The two Danicas get along really well (surprise!) and are super compatible (surprise!) but they both have Commitment Issues, so...not sure where that's going. I had Kira do all kinds of lifetime goals to buy that lifetime reward that gets rid of a cheater reputation and went to bed.

So...that's all really weird.

BAHAHAHA! I didn't know they could CLONE themselves! He even sent me a screenshot as proof:

What the heck??  Man that made me laugh so hard. That is one thing I have NEVER had happen to me, and now I'm dying to try to recreate it.

Anyone else have some funny Sim stories? I feel a series coming on...

Happy Saturday!

A Sim Drama - Storytelling at its Finest

Last night I was avoiding revisions playing the Sims as I like to do, and some pretty hilarious drama unfolded ALMOST without my doing. (I mean, they have free will people!) It was so random I decided I needed to share.

My female Sim had just gotten engaged, to a celebrity nonetheless. She was over the moon excited and couldn't wait to start their perfect life together. I figured she should celebrate so I go ahead and throw her a bachelorette party at the local dance club. Everything's going great, her friends are having a fabulous time, and then the male "dancers" show up (Seriously, so funny that they put that in. They're wearing cop uniforms and everything). Well my sim has had a little too much "Fizzy Nectar" thrown on her and toasted to her, so she ends up getting VERY close with one of these dancers. She did not realize the paparazzi was there photographing her every move. So they catch her cheating on her fiance. Suddenly she has a cheater reputation, and this is where everything starts to go downhill.

I tried to have her invite her fiance over the next morning and apologize so we could get this wedding back on (I created a gorgeous venue with a waterfall as the background and everything. I wasn't about to let it go to waste). Well he won't hear of it, and flat out denies to see me. So I try to invite him out. No go. Finally I figure she's just got to stake out his house. Luckily she's friends with his parents too. So she convinces them to let her stay the night, in order to be there when he got home. He didn't get home until midnight, which I thought was a little suspicious, but was too concerned with getting their relationship patched up. She tries to apologize and he won't hear it. She tries to calm him down and he only gets angrier. Their relationship is getting worse and worse. I feel TERRIBLE. Finally I have her give up, since she's about to pass out from exhaustion. She goes upstairs to the guest room to fall asleep around 1am.

Then the craziest thing happened. At 4am I hear an eerie music and see the grim reaper in the room next to my sim. That's right, his dad DIES IN THE VERY NEXT ROOM! And even better, he's a vampire so instead of dropping dead, he turned to ashes right there on the carpet. My sim wakes up and runs next door to witness his death and mourn him, but the grim reaper is not moved by her display and quickly claims his quarry. Not five minutes after he's moved to his grave, the eerie music starts up again. Right down the hall her future-mother-in-law starves to death and disintegrates right in front of her son! What the? So the grim reaper literally walks down the hall and starts his ritual over again.

At this point, I'm staring open-mouthed at the screen. First of all, I didn't know I was about to marry her into a family of VAMPIRES, but I've rarely witnessed death on the Sims (that wasn't intentionally brought to pass...ahem). So after the shock wears off, I figure this could be a blessing in disguise. Maybe now he'll need a shoulder to cry on and will let her back in to his life. No such luck. He's madder than ever, and now he's crying on top of it.

I've had enough. Thank goodness for the save button I think to myself. I quickly return to the main menu without saving and hope everything will go back to normal.

When I log back on, sure enough, their relationship is wonderful, his parents are alive and all is well. I figure I'll have her invite him over for a nice dinner and get them married before anything else happened. Surely nothing else could go wrong, Right? Right?

Wrong.

He shows up and my sim marches directly over to him, and without me being able to stop her, she accuses him of cheating on her. AND HE ADMITS IT! THE JERK HAD BEEN CHEATING ON ME THE WHOLE TIME! Our relationship went into the red instantly, he tells me I have "issues" and leaves.

And the next want that pops up on her screen is to break up with him.

I don't think that will be a problem.

Man I love this game.

What’s in a Game?

It occurs to me I’ve spent an enormous amount of time on two of my three creative endeavors on this blog, and almost completely swept the whole “gamer” side of me under the rug.

Shame on me.

Here’s the problem; even though I’ve got it listed as one of the things I love, I’m still afraid to show my true gamer self. Mostly because she looks like this:

Lykana

Right? Pretty Bad-A.

So I’ve been thinking about why I play computer games, WoW specifically, and I thought I would share my reasons with you.

1) The most important reason is because it’s quality time with my hubby. For reals. A lot of people think games are a waste of time, and I’m sure for some people they are. If you don’t enjoy it, it’s a waste of time. But when I get to play with my husband, and we get to spend time solving problems, fighting a common enemy, and laughing together that is never time wasted in my book. It helps that the enemy is pixelated so there’s no real fear there…

2) It’s a lot of fun. Like I’ve said before, I was raised a computer geek (thanks Nate). I played DOS games back in the day and LOVED them. (Discworld, SerfCity, Relentless, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis just to name a few). I just love the problem solving, the story development, and the ability to travel to new places. It’s like a book you can SEE and navigate through. What’s better than that?

3) It gives me something I can control. Sometimes my two-year old is completely unmanageable. Sometimes work gets overwhelming or I get assigned a project out of the blue that I have very little interest in doing (Bri, you know what I’m talking about). And sometimes I feel sick. Like really sick. In August. Which makes me cranky. But when I log on to WoW, I know what I have to do and I can hop on my trusty dragon and go do it. I have money too, which I don’t in real life, so that helps. A new pair of shoes every now and then (even if they’re virtual) is good for a girl’s soul.

4) I’ve met some amazing people. Who I NEVER would’ve met otherwise. As in, why would I ever hang out with a comic-book-store-owner and his wife from Pennsylvania? I probably wouldn’t. But I met them online and it’s amazing how similar we are and how much fun we have together. Ned and Jodie have become some of our closest friends over the years, and we’ve never seen them in real life. But I don’t have to know what they look like to know they’re amazing people. Not to mention a certain priestess who doesn’t play anymore (CANDIS) and her amazingly talented warrior husband who unfortunately passed away in 2009. Which brings me to my next reason:

5) It inspires me. Mostly the people I’ve met inspire me. The afore-mentioned warrior was a great friend of ours and it was really hard when he passed away, even though we never met him face-to-face. And from these experiences, I’ve been able to draw enough inspiration for my recently completed second book. It’s about a teenage girl who tentatively starts playing an online game to be close to her brother who moved away for school, yet she ends up having several life-changing experiences due to the people she meets. Just like I did.

So those are the most important ones I guess. I could do an entirely different post on why I play the Sims…in fact, I probably will later. But I’m trying to not hide my inner geek anymore. Take it or leave it people, this girl plays WoW. And my warrior up there? Level 85. She’s pretty much a big deal.

And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Monday's a Day to GIVEAWAY!

Okay, I teased about this a little, but I think it’s time to announce a giveaway!
One Week. Three prizes. THREE WINNERS! Wahoo!
Since my blog is about three distinct worlds, I wanted to give away three distinct prizes.

ONE: A $25 gift card to West Elm!

I know what you’re thinking, “What am I going to get for $25 at West Elm?” The answer is, a lot of cute accessories! They have a whole $25 and under section. Here are my favorites:

TWO: A $25 Gift Card to GameStop

And while most video games these days are more expensive than I’d like, there are a lot of classics, and even newcomers that I’d like to get my hands on for less than $25!

Okay The Sims 3 Pets is going to be $40 but just look at the trailer here. Um hello, horses!

Ahem. Moving on,

THREE: A $25 Gift Card to Barnes & Noble

And I could easily spend that much dough at Barnes & Noble. Here are just a few of the titles I’m wanting to add to my library, heaven knows there are THOUSANDS more!

That’s it! Pretty exciting huh?

So here’s how to enter:

1 - Become a follower of Three Point Perspective and leave a comment telling me what gift card you’d like, and what you’d use it for (not that it matters, I’m just curious). If you’re already a follower, just leave a comment! Easy peasy!

2 - Earn an extra entry each for:
  • Re-blogging and linking back here
  • Sharing on Facebook and linking back here
  • Tweeting and linking back here
Please tell me in your comment how many entries you’re claiming.
That’s it!

I’d love to make new friends and meet new people, and hey who doesn’t like free stuff? So help me spread the word, and who knows? Maybe you’ll end up $25 richer!

The giveaway will close July 24 at midnight. Winners will be posted next Monday.
Thanks and Good luck!

( Oh and I don’t know if I need to add a disclaimer, but none of these fine retailers know I exist, so they’re not sponsoring me or anything. They’re just some of my favorite places to shop. :) )

Friday Faves: Modern Rust

Wow, I’ve been MIA this week. It’s been hectic. My husband’s grandmother died so we’ve been trying to make travel arrangements to get back to Kentucky for that. Work had a big deadline this week, and my little girl has decided to stay up until 9 every night now. Gotta love summertime!

But, I didn’t want to miss this post. This week I have another great designer friend from Modern Rust sharing her favorites with us. Brooke and I also went to design school together and basically fell in love over our Freshman Year design board assignment. And now, even though she’s in Canada, she’s one of my dearest friends (who’s also expecting TWINS! Yowza!)

Anyway, here’s what Brooke had to say about her favorites! Enjoy!

My favorite design trend right now would be mixing patterns.  From
pillows to wallpaper to window treatments I see fun patterns
everywhere and find the trend following fashion in seeing them mixed.
Chevron, stripes, florals, it all goes!

brooke 1

brooke 2

My favorite author. This one is hard. I will like a few books and then
hate others the same person has wrote.  Some favorites are Janet
Evanovich, John Grisham, and Jodi Picoult. Depending on the genre I
am in the mood for.

brooke 3

My favorite game of all time is Nertz. It's a fast paced card game and
I love love love it. All good memories involve playing this around my
aunts huge table with 10 or so cousins.

I’ve been to several of Brooke’s card parties, and let me tell you they’re intense. Nertz is so much fun. I included the diagram for anyone who doesn’t know how to play.

Thanks so much Brooke for being a part of my series! I love learning about my fellow bloggers!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Friday Faves: Danielle Oakey Interiors

I'm so excited to kick off a new series I'm calling "Friday Faves." I've got several great designers and authors who will be stopping by to show off some different sides of their personality! First up I've got Danielle from Danielle Oakey Interiors. Danielle and I went to design school together and she's become my Fairy Blogmother, setting a stellar example of what to do in this blogging world, and showing off her impeccable style to boot (And did I mention our husbands are gaming buddies? It's true). I'm so excited to have her here today!

Take it away Danielle:

Hi everyone, I am Danielle from Danielle Oakey Interiors.
I am thrilled to be here today.
Kadie and I go way back.
We spent 4 long years enduring design school together, and somehow we both survived!

Kadie asked me to share my favorite design trend, book, and game.
So here we go...

My Favorite Design Trend:

Selecting my favorite was difficult for me but animal photography is a current love of mine.
I seem to be drawn to horses.

{image via here}

Especially when photographed in black & white.

{image via here}

I can't get enough.

{image via here}

I wish I had one for my home.
Although, I did just purchase this amazing horse lamp from HomeGoods for $29.99.
I guess that will fill my horse need :)

My Favorite Book:

Does Elle Decor count? Just kidding.
I don't get to read very often, but I did love 'The Help' by Kathryn Stockett.
I can't wait to see the movie.

{Image via here}

My Favorite Game:

{image via here}

I just happen to be a board game lover.
I could play Monopoly for hours.
I also might be a little competitive.
Let's just say, I play to win.

Thanks for having me Kadie!
xoxo
Danielle

I told you; incredibly style. I love that horse lamp! Thanks so much Danielle!

Come back every Friday to learn more about your fellow bloggers!

Simtastic Sunday: Generations

I got back from Denver on Friday and it seems it takes a whole day for my brain to return. After 3 days of working straight from 8am to Midnight, my mind had officially stopped functioning by the time we sat down on the plane to come home. And yet, despite the layers of dirt on my clothes, the blisters on my feet and the bruises on my arms, it was an excellent trip. We only need to add a few more finishing touches and the building will be done. It’s so so beautiful. And I hope soon I’ll stop having dreams about unpacking un-ending amounts of furniture.

Now on to what today is all about: the new Sims expansion! As soon as we put Baby Girl to bed the night I got home, I ran to Target to get The Sims 3 Generations expansion. And here I am a whole day later and I still haven’t experienced a lot of new content. Because I’m CRAZY. I had to set up the perfect neighborhood, with the perfect house, and the perfect couple. Now they finally had their first baby and I can start seeing what they’ve added to this game.

Here is the trailer so you can see what I’m talking about:

All the fun stuff is for the kids and teens! FINALLY they have Prom!

Okay my nerd flag is going to get waving out of control here, but suffice it to say I’m extremely excited.

And what am I NOT doing while playing the new expansion? Editing my book. I need to cut down the word count. I’m just feeling a little discouraged right now. Like I jumped into this trying-to-get-published thing a little too early in the process. How do you get motivated to do revisions? Throwing a Bachelor Party for your Sims? Oh, that’s just me? Weird.

Simtastic Sunday: I won?

Okay I don’t know if this theme will stick, but I wanted to blog about this regardless.

I’ve been MIA this weekend due to my dearest friesin’s (friend /cousin; we made up the word to describe our relationship) wedding. It was beautiful and crazy and a whirlwind. But she looked immeasurably happy and I’m so elated for her.

BUT, that’s has nothing to do with the Sims.

As stated in the “Gaming” section above (read: my confessions) I play a lot of computer games, including, but not limited to, various versions of The Sims. Well, I was wasting time on Facebook a couple weeks ago and I saw that there was a contest for The Sims Medieval. They were calling for screenshots of different throne room designs. I thought, “I’ve got one I’m proud of. I’ll just submit it on a whim.”

Here is what I submitted:

Screenshot-6

Screenshot-3

Well the results were posted on Friday and I WON! There were three winners and I was one of them! I was so surprised and flattered. I get a signed poster from the Developers of the game. This is probably more exciting to my husband who hopes to work for EA one day, but as someone who rarely wins anything, I was pretty psyched. As my gamer friends would say: Woot!

If you want to see the rest of the winning entries, go here. And if you think you might want to build a castle of your own, go here. And if you don’t know what the heck I’m talking about with this game, watch this awesome trailer with one of my favorite actors, Donald Faison (aka Turk from Scrubs, one of my favorite shows of all time).

The Beginning

I've been writing stories since I realized I could.
I've been playing video games since the day my brother taught me how.
I've been designing interiors since my very first six-foot-tall doll house I got from Santa.

And now I'm doing them all, as well as raising my beautiful daughter with my wonderful husband.

Professionally I am an Interior Designer with very little expertise in residential design, outside of my own home remodel,  but loads of experience in commercial and hospitality design. I currently work full-time for a company called Noah's, designing multi-use event centers all over the country. I love my job and the Noah's brand. If you ever want to throw a party and don't know where to host it, check out www.mynoahs.com. You can thank me later.

Personally, on my down time, I love creating little Sim avatars and watching them grow on the Sims 3. I've got several virtual houses designed and uploaded online to the enormously supportive Sim community. My husband is studying to be a video-game designer so we have lots of games at our house. I don't let many people see this side of me. But let it be known: I am a closet nerd.

Passionately, I love to write. I just finished my first novel and will be expounding on the characters, settings, and ideas presented in my book on this blog. The hope is that I can get people excited enough about it  that I can show a publisher just what they're missing out on if they don't sign me. The actual book,  however, will not be on this blog. I'm waiting for that one golden "Yes" answer to come back from a literary agent.  I will be chronicling my attempts at publication here too.

Embrace the ride. Explore my life. Expand your view of the world around you. But most of all, ENJOY!
